Three charged in connection with Liam Payne’s death

Three individuals have been charged in connection with the death of former One Direction star Liam Payne, according to Argentinian authorities. Payne, 31, tragically died on October 16 after falling from the third-floor balcony of a hotel in Buenos Aires.

Argentina’s National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that one person, who had been with Payne at the time, is facing charges of “abandonment of a person followed by death.” A hotel employee and another individual have also been charged with supplying drugs. The identities of the suspects have not been revealed.

Liam Payne, a father and a widely known pop star, rose to fame as a member of One Direction following his appearance on The X Factor in 2010. He went on to enjoy a successful solo career but sadly passed away under mysterious circumstances in Buenos Aires.

A post-mortem examination confirmed the cause of death as “multiple trauma” and “internal and external hemorrhaging,” which resulted from the fall. Medical reports suggested that Payne may have fallen while semi-conscious or completely unconscious, ruling out the possibility that he jumped or intentionally caused his own death.

Authorities have also conducted multiple raids in Buenos Aires, searching several properties as part of the ongoing investigation. Investigators are focusing on the contents of Payne’s broken laptop and other electronic devices that were seized from the hotel room. In addition, over 800 hours of security footage from hotel cameras and public streets have been reviewed, and authorities have received numerous testimonies from hotel staff, family members, friends, and medical professionals.
