Daniel Chapo, a senior member of Mozambique’s long-dominant Frelimo party, was officially inaugurated as the nation’s president on Wednesday in a ceremony held in the capital city. Chapo takes over from Filipe Nyusi, who has completed the maximum two terms in office.
