2 min read

The famous actor and director, Kunle Afod, who has spent close to four decades in the Nigerian entertainment industry, has shared one of the life lessons he has learnedAfod, during an interaction with the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos, reflected on how life was unpredictable, especially as it relates to building relationships. He summed up this wisdom thus: “There are no friends or foes anywhere.”

Afod believes that it is not wise to look at people as permanent friends or enemies because life readjusts roles in its way. He did this with personal examplessuch as how the ones considered friends could turn into betrayers while the so-called enemies might end up being key to one’s success.

“Someone believed as a friend can turn out to be a traitor, and another fellow perceived as an enemy may become instrumental to ones success,” Afod shared. “These two phases of life are lessons everyone should beware of.”

Afod, who began his acting career in 1986,
preached a liberal approach to life. “Ive learned that there are no fixed friends or foes. The person you trust might hurt you, and the one you distrust could become your greatest supporter,” he counseled.

Beyond this wisdom, Afod looks forward to some future projects: a big-screen venture that is set for 2025 and a new series of the “Proverbs Challenge,” showing his love for competitive content.

He encouraged young actors and directors to learn and research all the time to make their art better. “Directors must always seek to do better and know more,” he addedwhile pointing out the need for continuous improvement in the ever-changing entertainment world.
