Anna Sorokin Joins ‘Dancing with the Stars’ While Wearing Ankle Monitor

Anna Sorokin, also known as Anna “Delvey,” is stepping into the spotlight once again, this time on the new season of “Dancing with the Stars.” Despite her controversial past, Sorokin is embracing her notoriety as she prepares to compete on the popular dance show.

In a press release announcing the Season 33 cast, Sorokin was introduced as the “Notorious ankle bracelet fashionista Anna Delvey.” She will be partnered with professional dancer Ezra Sosa. The network’s bio for Sorokin notes the dual perspectives on her character: “Some view her as a cunning scam artist, while others see her as a charismatic and ambitious entrepreneur who took advantage of New York City’s social elite in an effort to open a prestigious art studio.” It also mentions how her case has ignited discussions about wealth, privilege, and social climbing in modern society. “Her story continues to captivate the public’s imagination,” the release concludes.
