Tragic Train Collision in Egypt Claims Lives and Leaves Dozens Injured

The deadliest rail disaster in Egypt’s history occurred in 2002, when a fire engulfed a passenger train traveling from Cairo to Luxor, killing more than 360 people. This event remains one of the most tragic episodes in the country’s rail history, highlighting the critical need for infrastructure improvements and safety reforms.
