2 min readIn a glittering ceremony at Kampala’s Sheraton Hotel, 23-year-old Natasha Nyonyozi from Kyonyo, Kamuganguzi in the Kabale district, has been crowned Miss Uganda 2024-2025. Amidst cheers and applause, Nyonyozi received the prestigious title and a Toyota Wish, celebrating her elegance, charisma, and confidence.
The event saw Suraya Umeimah Bashuaeb and Joan Nabatanzi named as the first and second runners-up, respectively. Upon her coronation, an ecstatic Nyonyozi credited her success to divine intervention and her supporters, proclaiming, “I am beyond thrilled to announce that I am the newly crowned Miss Uganda 2024-2025! All glory to God and thanks to everyone who supported me on this journey.”
Nyonyozi is set to represent Uganda on both national and international stages, aiming to serve and promote her country. With a degree in Accounting and Finance from Coventry University and as the founder of the beauty parlour “Girl Hive,” Nyonyozi embodies beauty and intelligence. She is passionate about advocating for children with special needs, particularly those with autism, and has been actively involved in related charity work.
City socialite Judith Heard and event host Anitah Fabiola were among those who publicly congratulated Nyonyozi, praising her grace, elegance, and the overall success of the Miss Uganda 2024 Grand Finale.
The competition, featuring 28 contestants from across Uganda, showcased the nation’s beauty and talent. Nyonyozi’s dream of becoming Miss Uganda since she was 10 years old has finally come true, marking the beginning of her journey to advocate for various causes and embody the spirit of Uganda throughout her reign.
