Stonebwoy, the reigning Artiste of the Year at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), delivered an outstanding performance at the 2024 Reggae Geel Festival in Belgium. The festival, one of Europe’s largest reggae events, attracted over 50,000 attendees and featured a lineup of international music stars.
During his set, Stonebwoy captivated the audience with an energetic performance that lasted over an hour. He showcased a selection of his popular hits, including “Run Go,” “Ekelebe,” “Shuga,” “Everlasting,” “Into the Future,” and “Your Body.” His performance was met with enthusiasm from the crowd, reinforcing his status as a leading figure in Afro-dancehall music.
Following his performance, reggae and dancehall icon Luciano expressed admiration for Stonebwoy’s dedication to the genre. Luciano praised Stonebwoy for his relentless effort in promoting dancehall and revealed his interest in collaborating with the Ghanaian artist. “You are hardworking. I love your work; I want us to work on a collaboration,” Luciano remarked, highlighting Stonebwoy’s growing global influence.
Stonebwoy’s international recognition continues to rise, as demonstrated by his recent success at the 2024 TGMA, where he won seven awards. His impressive resume includes performances at major festivals such as Germany’s Summerjam Festival, the Austin Reggae Festival, the CaliVibes Festival in the US, and Jamaica’s Island Music Festival.
In addition to his festival performances, Stonebwoy is gearing up for the release of his third single of the year, titled “Pray For Me.” This upcoming track features the legendary Wyclef Jean and will be available on August 9, 2024. The song, accompanied by an inspirational video shot in London, aims to continue Stonebwoy’s streak of impactful music.
