Kajiado County has elevated its alert status in response to recent cases of Mpox reported across the nation. The county’s heightened vigilance is a precautionary measure given its geographical positioning near Nairobi and its porous borders, which may facilitate the spread of infectious diseases.

Alex Kilowua, the Kajiado County Executive Committee Member for Health, has emphasized the importance of public awareness and preventive measures.
