The legal action comes from five female contestants of the upcoming Prime Video series Beast Games, which is touted as the largest reality competition ever, featuring 1,000 participants vying for a $5 million prize. This lawsuit has sent shockwaves through the production, casting doubt on whether the show will even air.

The lawsuit alleges that contestants faced a toxic environment characterized by “misogyny and sexism.” Many claims are redacted, but the document suggests that participants felt they were “underfed and overtired,” with meals provided “sporadically and sparsely,” compromising their health and well-being.

A particularly concerning section of the lawsuit alleges that the defendants “created, permitted, and fostered a culture of sexual harassment,” establishing a hostile work environment. One contestant reportedly went over 20 hours without food, and others indicated they lacked timely access to their medications.
