1 min read

Actor Michael Madsen was arrested early Saturday morning on charges of domestic battery, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The incident took place in Malibu, California, with deputies responding to a reported “family disturbance” shortly after midnight.

The sheriff’s department stated that the reported altercation involved a woman claiming that her husband, identified as Madsen, had pushed her and then locked her out of their home. Following the arrest, Madsen, who is renowned for his roles in Quentin Tarantino’s films such as Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill, was released on a $20,000 bond.

At 66 years old, Madsen has yet to make a public statement regarding the arrest. The sheriff’s department noted that the investigation is ongoing and will be reviewed by the Van Nuys Superior Court for further action. No additional details about the case were provided by the department.

A representative for Madsen addressed the situation through a statement to Variety, explaining that the incident stemmed from a disagreement between Madsen and his wife. The representative expressed hope that the issue would be resolved amicably for both parties involved.

Michael Madsen and his wife, DeAnna Madsen, have been married for 28 years. Madsen’s prominent roles include the menacing Mr. Blonde in Reservoir Dogs and the vengeful Budd in Kill Bill: Volume 2.
