BBNaija’s Angel Breaks Silence on Love Challenges as She Hints at Possible Break Up with Soma

Big Brother Naija reality star Angel Smith has spoken up about her struggle with relationships and has hinted that her romance with fellow BBNaija star Soma Anyama is over.
Angel took to her social media page with a cryptic post shortly after Soma‘s ex-girlfriend Hilda Dirisu came out to accuse him of physically abusing her in the past and trying to come back into her life despite being with Angel.
Angel insinuated in her post that she is unfortunate when it comes to lover matters. She wrote on her X account: “It is Angel always; I have already accepted that the only time I will be loved is when I actually die.”
This news comes only a few months after the winner of BBNaija All-Stars, Ilebaye, took to her social media in a viral video to announce that Angel and Soma planned to get wedded in January. It is now not clear if the wedding will take place.
Their relationship reportedly started in the ‘All-Stars‘ season of the BBNaija house, where both were said to be in other relationships before coming into the show. They had, however, chosen to be with each other on and off the screen, through unfounded rumours and even when they stopped following each other on social media.
The speculations further heightened recently when Soma edited a birthday post for Angel and deleted the word “love.” The act fired social media and brought some backlash against Angel. Angel brushed off the drama, saying whatever the rumors were, no one had the right to interfere with her life. She also reminded her bashers about the cyberbullying she has been facing since 2021.
Born on 5 May, 1992, Soma Anyama was a housemate in the second season of BBNaija in 2017. He is returning to the show after many years in the All-Stars edition slated for 2023. Soma is known for his musical talents and personality, which earned him quite a large following. Angel had earlier dated her fellow BBNaija star Sunday Okonkwo, popularly known as Cross, during the 2021 ‘Shine Ya Eye‘ season but broke up some time after leaving the show.
