Bloem Show 2025: Exciting Plans for the Upcoming Year

The Bloem Show is gearing up for its 2025 edition, and the details are officially set. Scheduled to run from April 25 to May 3 in Bloemfontein, the show will embrace the vibrant theme of “Carnival” for the coming year.

Elmarie Prinsloo, the CEO of Bloem Show, is confident about the event’s preparations and success. “We’ve already started planning for the 2025 Bloem Show, so be sure to mark your calendars! The agricultural championships are already fully booked,” Prinsloo announced.

Established 142 years ago, the Bloem Show was initially focused on agriculture. Prinsloo indicated that bookings for other exhibitions will open officially on August 15, signaling the start of the event’s broader planning phase.

Looking ahead, Prinsloo is enthusiastic about elevating the show’s offerings. “With three public holidays next year—April 27 and 28, as well as May 1—attendees will have ample opportunity to enjoy the event. Additionally, May 2 is a school holiday, creating a long weekend for families to participate,” she explained.

Prinsloo is optimistic about continuing the show’s role as a key driver of socio-economic development in Bloemfontein. This year’s event was notably successful, setting a record with 126,327 visitors over its ten-day run and showcasing an impressive number of livestock. Bloem Show stands out as the only event in the country that merges entertainment, agricultural competitions, and commercial activities on such a grand scale.

“It’s a fantastic venue where business professionals, farmers, and visitors converge annually. It offers a perfect mix of business networking and social interaction, making it a prime spot for entertainment and leisure with friends and family,” Prinsloo said.
