Rock band Jane’s Addiction has issued an apology and canceled their upcoming concert following an on-stage altercation between band members Perry Farrell and Dave Navarro. The incident, which occurred during a recent performance, has led to the cancellation of their scheduled show in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
In a statement posted on their Instagram Story on Saturday, the band expressed their regret over the events that transpired. “We want to extend a heartfelt apology to our fans for the events that unfolded last night,” the statement read. “Due to the altercation, we have decided to cancel the show in Bridgeport that was set for Sunday night.”
Fans who purchased tickets for the canceled show will be able to receive a refund at the point of purchase.
The disturbance occurred during Jane’s Addiction’s concert in Boston on Friday. Social media footage reveals a tense confrontation between Farrell, the band’s lead singer, and Navarro, the guitarist. The video shows Farrell walking toward Navarro mid-performance, leading to a heated exchange. Navarro appears to attempt to restrain Farrell, who then tries to push Navarro, prompting intervention from other band and crew members to separate them.
Currently, Jane’s Addiction is on tour and was slated to perform in Toronto on Wednesday. The tour is set to wrap up in Los Angeles in October.
