2 min read

Kendrick Lamar is once again proving he’s “Not Like Us.”

The Pulitzer Prize-winning rapper has not only released a surprise album but also claimed the top spot on the charts and announced an upcoming tour with a frequent collaborator.

His latest album, GNX, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, while five of its singles landed in the top five on the Billboard Hot 100. These tracks are: “Squabble Up,” GNX, “TV Off” (featuring Lefty Gunplay), “Luther” (with SZA), “Wacced Out Murals,” and “Hey Now” (featuring Dody6).

“Squabble Up” marks Lamar’s fifth No. 1 hit on the Hot 100 and his third this year. Securing the top five spots on the chart places him in an elite group, alongside Taylor Swift, Drake, and The Beatles, who are the only other artists to have achieved this feat.

Additionally, two other songs from GNX reached the top 10—“Reincarnated” at No. 8 and “Man at the Garden” at No. 9.
