Paul Mescal, known for his role in “Gladiator II,” recently took part in a lighthearted trivia game about his own life. However, things didn’t go as expected for the actor when he faced off against his biggest fan, Larissa, the creator of the popular @paulmescalpics fan account on Instagram.

The game, which was shared on Instagram through both Larissa’s account and the official “Gladiator” movie franchise’s account, quickly became a humorous and memorable moment. In the video, Larissa, described as “Paul’s biggest fan,” showcased her impressive knowledge of Mescal’s personal life, answering several biographical questions that stumped the actor himself.

Mescal started off strong, confidently answering the first question correctly. “I love how I am celebrating the fact that I am just knowing the answers about my life,” he joked, clearly amused by the easy start. However, as the game continued, the actor found himself tripped up by some surprisingly simple questions about his own biography.

One of the first questions he got wrong was about his debut film. Mescal couldn’t recall his very first role, and this set the tone for the rest of the game. He also misremembered the year he graduated from drama school, initially guessing it was 2015 when in fact it was 2017. “I got my own life wrong there,” he admitted with a laugh. “I lost that comfortably.”

Despite his missteps, Mescal managed to redeem himself on the question about his favorite food. When asked, he confidently responded, “I think I get to decide what my favorite dinner is!” This moment of self-assurance brought a bit of victory to the actor amid the trivia chaos.

As the game came to an end, Mescal, ever the good sport, acknowledged his defeat. “I lost to a better Paul,” he said to Larissa with a smile. “Even though I hate losing, I have to admit I lost this round.”

Larissa, who had proven her knowledge and skill in the trivia challenge, shared her excitement with her 175,000 followers, posting a caption that read, “I played a little game of ‘Who Knows Paul Best?’ with Paul Mescal, and I actually won.”

The friendly competition not only showcased Larissa’s dedication as a fan but also gave followers a fun glimpse into the actor’s personality. Mescal’s humility and good-natured attitude toward the game made the video even more entertaining for those watching. It’s clear that while he may have lost this round of trivia, he remains a good sport, proving once again that his charm and down-to-earth nature extend far beyond his acting career.
