James Kennedy, a star of the reality TV show Vanderpump Rules, was arrested on Tuesday evening in Burbank on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic violence. According to the Burbank Police Department, authorities responded to a residence around 11:30 p.m. following reports of an argument between a man and a woman. After investigating, police determined that the incident was domestic in nature, leading to Kennedy’s arrest.
Kennedy, who is best known for his role on Bravo’s Vanderpump Rules, was taken into custody on suspicion of domestic violence. The police have not disclosed the identities of the individuals involved, and CNN has reached out to Kennedy’s representatives for a statement, though they have yet to comment.
Following his arrest, Kennedy was released the next day after posting a $20,000 bond, as confirmed by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department online records. The Burbank City Attorney’s Office has stated that the case is still under review, and no formal charges have been filed at this time.
In the most recent season of Vanderpump Rules, Kennedy was shown living with his girlfriend Ally Lewber, whom he began dating in 2022. CNN also reached out to representatives for Lewber for comment, but there has been no response so far.
Kennedy, who is a DJ by profession, has been a prominent figure on Vanderpump Rules since 2014. However, it was recently announced that he, along with other cast members, will not be returning for the upcoming season of the show.
As of now, the situation is under investigation, and further details regarding Kennedy’s arrest and the circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be clarified.
