Coach says Vinicius Junior ‘wants to make history’ at Real Madrid

2 min read

Real Madrid players were in high spirits during their Friday training session, preparing for their La Liga match against Real Valladolid on Saturday. The upbeat atmosphere came after their dominant 5-1 victory over Salzburg on Wednesday, which secured their place in the Champions League knockout stage. However, the positive news didn’t stop there.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti addressed rumors surrounding Brazilian forward Vinicius Junior, who has reportedly been the subject of enormous offers from Saudi Arabian clubs. Allegedly, three clubs from the Middle East have made bids exceeding $300 million in an attempt to lure him away from Madrid. Despite these rumors, Ancelotti is confident that Vinicius has no intention of leaving the club.

“I have direct contact with the player, and I’m sure he’s very happy here. Above all, he wants to make history with Real Madrid,” Ancelotti said. The coach added that Vinicius shares a similar mindset with the rest of the squad, all of whom are eager to continue their legacy at the club. “We’re all happy here and want to make history,” he added.

Since joining Real Madrid from Flamengo in 2018, Vinicius has become an integral part of the team. The 23-year-old has scored 100 goals in 291 appearances and helped the club win three La Liga titles and two Champions League trophies. His progress and performances have made him one of the most important players in the team, and it’s clear that he has big aspirations for the future with the club.

However, Vinicius will be absent for the upcoming match against Valladolid as he serves a two-match suspension. Despite this, Ancelotti isn’t worried about his absence, stating that the time off will allow Vinicius to recover fully. “Not playing tomorrow will actually be good for him to recover and work in a calm environment. He’ll make the most of these days to rest and will be fresh for when it matters most,” Ancelotti explained.

As Real Madrid gears up for the rest of the season, they currently sit at the top of the La Liga table with 46 points from 20 matches. They hold a narrow two-point advantage over second-placed Atlético Madrid. With their strong squad and Vinicius’s commitment to the team, Real Madrid looks poised to continue their pursuit of more titles this season, with the Brazilian star playing a crucial role in their ambitions.

The next few weeks will be important for Real Madrid as they look to maintain their lead in the league while preparing for the Champions League knockout stages. Despite the speculation surrounding Vinicius’s future, it’s clear that he is focused on achieving success with Los Blancos, and the club’s future remains promising with such a talented and motivated group of players.
