Eugene “Mercury” Morris, a two-time Super Bowl champion and a key player in the Miami Dolphins’ perfect 1972 season, has passed away at the age of 77. His son, Troy-Jeffrey Morris, announced the news on social media, highlighting the profound impact his father had both on and off the field.

The following year, Morris continued to excel, rushing for 954 yards and 10 touchdowns, contributing significantly to the Dolphins’ consecutive Super Bowl victories.
