“Security Guard Intervenes to Disarm Attacker Following Stabbing of Girl and Woman in Central London”

A security guard in London, identified as Abdullah, heroically intervened during a knife attack in Leicester Square on Monday morning. Abdullah, 29, was working at a nearby tea shop when he heard screams and saw a man attacking an 11-year-old girl and a 34-year-old woman. Without hesitation, Abdullah restrained the attacker, taking the knife from him and holding him down until police arrived.

Two bystanders also assisted Abdullah in restraining the suspect for several minutes before the police arrived and took him into custody. Abdullah and the others provided first aid to the victims until emergency services arrived.

The girl sustained injuries that require hospital treatment but are not life-threatening, while the woman had more minor injuries. Westminster Police have indicated that the incident does not appear to be terror-related. This attack comes amid heightened security and heightened vigilance in the UK following recent far-right riots and ongoing concerns about violence against women and girls.
